The Danube was the name of an Ottoman province, under rule of the Ottomans, and named after the Danube river which is the 2nd largest river in Europe. Starting out in the Black Forest in Germany, the river ends up in the Black Sea and runs through countries like Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Austria, and Croatia."
