Istanbul, December 16, 2008 - Alibaba.com, the world's leading business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce company with focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), will hold its first 'Open Sesame' event in Turkey today at the Four Seasons hotel in Istanbul. Amidst today's economic turmoil, shrinking marketing and travel budgets and margin pressures are forcing Turkish SMEs to rely, more than ever, on e-commerce and online marketplaces to grow their businesses and take part in global trade.
