"Erdogan Won't `Darken' Turkey's Future With IMF Budget Curbs

Oct. 27 (Bloomberg) -- Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he would refuse any International Monetary Fund loan agreement that imposes limits on budgetary spending.
``If you're prepared to reach an agreement based on flexibility on our budget and on our growth at this point then we'll sit down and sign,'' Erdogan said in Ankara yesterday in comments carried by the state-run Anatolia news agency. ``But if you're saying, here's our opportunity to squeeze their throat, then I'm sorry, we're not going to allow that at any price.''"
