Cuba will be the guest of honor at the 77th İzmir International Fair, which opens Friday and runs until Aug. 31. With an eye to improving its trade relations with Turkey, Cuba will be displaying commercial products suitable for use in the health sector. The general director of İzmir Fair Services and Art Affairs Trade Inc., or İZFAŞ, Doğan İşleyen, told the Anatolian news agency that many firms and laboratories from Cuba that produce medicines and vaccines will promote their products at the fair."
