"ACCORDING TO REPRESENTATIVE OF TURKEY OSCE PROMOTES FORMATION OF JOINT HISTORY COMMISSION FOR INVESTIGATION OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE
The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly's annual session was held in Kazakhstan's capital Astana with the main theme of ''Transparency in the OSCE''.
According to an independent French journalist Jean Eckian, during the session, on July 2 Alaattin Buyukkaya, the head of the Turkish group at the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, made a statement, which runs, in part, ''A motion submitted by the Turkish delegation was adopted. The motion underlines that past events like genocide should be recognized only after historians carry out a detailed research in all kinds of archives'."
