Basle, Switzerland - The Turkish football association on Wednesday appealed against a two-match suspension imposed earlier in the day on goalkeeper Volkan Demirel. Volkan was sent off in the last minute of Turkey's 3-2 victory against the Czech Republic and is due to miss his country's quarter- final clash against Croatia on Friday and a semi-final game if Turkey beat the Croats."
