"Turkish lira firms ahead of end-June tax payments
ISTANBUL, June 25 (Reuters) - Turkish lira firmed on Wednesday ahead of end-June tax payments and a stronger lira helped boost bonds, while political uncertainty continued to hold markets back.
The lira ended 0.7 percent stronger against the dollar to close at 1.2220 on the interbank market, compared with a close a day earlier of 1.2305. It firmed further to 1.2150 in after-hour trade."
