"Turkish Inflation May Accelerate on Energy, Food: Week Ahead

By Steve Bryant

June 30 (Bloomberg) -- Turkish inflation probably accelerated for a fifth month on higher food and energy costs, adding to pressure on the central bank to raise interest rates for the third time this year, a survey shows.

The inflation rate may have risen to 11.6 percent in June, the highest for almost two years, from 10.7 percent, according to the median estimate of 10 economists surveyed by Bloomberg. The state statistics agency in Ankara will issue the report on July 3."
