"Turkey lays track on ‘Iron Silk Road’

ISTANBUL // Giant tubes of steel, more than 130 metres long and weighing thousands of tonnes, are being submerged in the waters off Istanbul’s historic peninsula as part of an ambitious project to link the European side of the Turkish metropolis with its Asian part and open the way for an “Iron Silk Road” between Europe and Asia."
