The recent effort of the Turkish constitutional court in Turkey to outlaw the governing party AKP of Prime Minister Tahip Erdogan and President A. Gull has brought to the surface the ongoing clash between poles of power in the country. Tahip Erdogan came to power with the promise of applying an alternative model of government, aiming at creating a more equalitarian society and distribution of national wealth within Turkish society."
