France's special envoy for the Mediterranean Union was in Ankara this week for talks with Turkish officials aimed at “eradicating” the “misconceptions” and “misunderstandings” regarding the Mediterranean Union proposal put forward by French President Nicolas Sarkozy that has so far received a cold response from Turkey."
