Eight Turkish soldiers and 33 Kurdish separatist militants were killed on Sunday as Turkey continued a ferocious assault on PKK bases in northern Iraq.
The assault appears to have inflicted heavy damage on militant hideouts in the mountains that straddle the two countries' border."
