State-government confrontation via Ergenekon
The police operation against the Ergenekon gang was done thanks to the choice of the government. This is one of the lessons we should draw from it, the past recriminations against its dismissive attitude vis-à-vis obvious cases of human rights violations (Article 301 of the Turkish penal code-related accusations, father Santoro, Hrant Dink; protestant missionaries, attacks against the Patriarchate, etc…) were valid. "
