Dr. Kerstin Tomenendal studied at Vienna University, and her undergraduate studies were on Arabic, Turcology, and Islamic theology, after which she got her Master’s on the Belkis-Suleyman legend in Arab literature. She earned her Ph.D. in history, and her thesis was on “Turkey’s Image in World War I Propaganda.” Now she serves on the faculty of Ankara’s Turkish Union and Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) University lecturing on history. Dr. Tomenendal evaluated the Turkish image in Europe and also shared her opinions on recent political and cultural issues. Here’s what she had to say to us:"
