Turkey commemorates Armenian journalist's slaying

"Turkey commemorates Armenian journalist's slaying

ISTANBUL, Turkey (AP) - Dozens of people laid carnations and lit candles in front of the office of a slain Turkish-Armenian journalist on Saturday, to mark the first anniversary of his death.
Hrant Dink, a Turkish citizen of Armenian origins who was despised by many for calling a century-old killing of Armenians a genocide, was
gunned down on Jan. 19, 2007, allegedly by a hardline nationalist teenager. The killing prompted international condemnation and a debate about freedom of speech in Turkey."
