"DWW and Deniz Feneri send a team of volunteer Turkish medics to Niger
The Turkey branch of Doctors Worldwide (DWW) and the Deniz Feneri (Lighthouse) foundation have taken steps to help the estimated 200,000 Nigerien women suffering from post-natal complications requiring surgery.

The two organizations started the “Violets of Hope” campaign in 2007 and treated 26 women suffering from fistulas following childbirth. Today they are sending the 11-strong 6th Nigerien Medical Team to the African nation from İstanbul’s Atatürk Airport."
