The recent performance of the US dollar in international markets has been closely monitored by everyone, particularly by exporters.

Industry and Commerce Minister Zafer Çağlayan last week said liquidity contraction in Turkish markets could be attributed to the reluctance of investors who purchased dollars at a rate of YTL 1.45 to sell them when the rate dropped down to YTL 1.18. His remarks once again showed that this issue is highly important for the country's economy."
