For most of Costas Karamanlis' nearly four years in power, an official prime ministerial visit to Ankara had preoccupied both the diplomatic establishment and the PM's advisors, with most choosing to err on the side of caution. The trip, expected between January 23 and 25, reciprocates Recep Tayyip Erdogan's 2004 visit to Athens."
