"EU's Clothing Imports from Turkey in First Half 2007

13 December 2007- Turkey is no more the largest clothing supplier on the European market, reflecting surging competition from China. The rise in the lira and the elimination of EU's quotas could make the situation more difficult for Turkish suppliers although they shifted to higher-priced products in the last years. An analysis of HS-4 digit data shows how Turkish exporters focused on a series of specific products, especially in HS 61 (knit apparel)."
