The 2011 Winter Universiade (World University Games), an international multi-sport event for university athletes that will be held in Erzurum's Palandöken in 2011, is expected to contribute to the development of the economy and tourism in eastern Anatolia. �We will share Palandöken, a popular ski resort preferred by foreign tourists in particular, with the whole world in 2011,� said Erzurum Mayor Ahmet Küçükler. Noting that a comprehensive meeting was held a short time ago regarding the organization of the event at a government level, he said all the preparation activities carried out with the event in mind were completed without any problems. �"
