11/10/2007 Launch of project to replace water pipes in Nicosia
The EU will fund the replacement of water pipes and domestic water meters in the northern part of Nicosia. This is the first work project to be financed from the EU aid programme for the Turkish Cypriot community and has a planned budget of about EUR4 million. The tender will be announced on the EU website as well as in the local press. EU companies as well as those from candidate countries may bid. The deadline for bids is 11 December."
