"Turkish archaeologists map country's sunken heritage From our ANI Correspondent Washington, Sept 7: Dokuz Eylül University (DEU) archaeologists have embarked on a five-year project mapping Turkey's underwater history.
Harun Özdas, project manager and assistant professor of Underwater Archaeology at DEÜ said "The lost underwater history of the Aegean and Mediterranean" project is the first of its kind ever to be carried out by a Turkish university."
