Ankara governor: Ankara has a six-month water

"Ankara governor: Ankara has a six-month water supply Asserting Tuesday that dams are capable of supplying the city for six months, Ankara Governor Kemal Önal said previous calculations didn’t take reserves into account. “Ankara’s water supply comes from the Eğrekkaya, Kurtboğazı, Akyar, Çubuk II and Çamlıdere dams. As of today, there are 53,520,000 cubic meters of water in five dams, excluding the reserves. Ankara’s daily water consumption is 700,000 cubic meters. Due to summer temperatures, daily water evaporation increases to 200,000 cubic meters. Thus, dams lose 900,000 cubic meters daily,” he stated."
