"Merkel calls Greek Cyprus' EU membership mistake
( Cihan ) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that the EU membership of Greek Cyprus was a mistake.
Speaking at the German Parliament Merkel said that there was no improvement on Greek Cyprus' state during the presidency of Germany.
The chancellor stressed that there have been no changes in the policies of both Turkey and Greek Cyprus during the negotiations and that this had been a criteria showing that countries with unsolved internal issues should be accepted to the union only after the problems are solved."
