The Turkish masses turned out in their millions to vote in Sunday's elections and reward Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan with a landslide victory that is unprecedented in modern times.

Erdogan's Justice and Development (AK) Party won 46.66 percent of the votes and 340 seats in the 550-seat Parliament as it thrashed all its rivals from southeastern Turkey to the Aegean."
