Boosting the Air Force's mid and long-term capabilities is Turkey's top defense procurement priority, resulting in two recent decisions to buy about 100 next-generation F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) aircraft and 30 advanced F-16 Block fighters from the U.S. government. The two programs altogether will cost about $12.5 billion."
