"U.S. Iraq Coordinator arrives to persuade Turkey not to fight PKK in North Iraq

U.S. Coordinator for Iraq David Satterfield arrived in Ankara on Friday in a bid to persuade Turkey not to launch cross-border operations against the outlawed Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) in north of Iraq, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
He is scheduled to meet high-ranking officials of Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and General Staff as well as Turkey's Special Envoy to Iraq Oguz Celikkol."
