Five new hotels have opened in İzmir, a candidate city for EXPO 2015. The target market for these hotels, most of which are boutique-style hotels, is business travelers. Mövenpick and Swiss Hotel Grand İzmir will open in next few months, which will increase the amount of hotel room accommodations available within the city. The International Natural Stone and Technologies Exposition (MARBLE) ran for four days filling the İzmir's hotel to full capacity illustrating once again the need for more hotel space. In central İzmir the SC INN, Ontur İzmir, Beyond, Comfort boutique hotels and the four-star hotel Kordon, a total five hotels, opened in last one month. The SC INN boutique hotel, owned by Selçuk Cengiz, in Basmane has 55 rooms and 138 beds. The Beyond Hotel, owned by the Karcıoğlu family, opened in Alsancak and it has 60 rooms with 120 beds."
