We welcome the positive move of the government of the Republic of Cyprus to demolish, on March 9, 2007, the wall and military post in Ledra street, a point on the Green Line that divides Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, in two as a result of the presence, since 1974, of Turkish occupying troops."
