The young Turkey went through a transition phase during its first years. This phase was marked by beginnings and pioneers. A prominent name of this period was the pioneer of Turkish graphic art, İhap Hulusi. After having completed his studies on poster design in Germany, Hulusi returned to Turkey. Upon Atatürk's request, he designed the first alphabet booklet cover and the national lottery ticket. He then made the famous Kulüp Rakısı bottle label."
