Turkish legislation on women's rights has greatly improved, but the Turkish woman in the street does not yet fully profit from this. The Turkish government needs to speed up implementation. That is the opinion of Dutch Social-Democratic member of the European Parliament Emine Bozkurt. She is the rapporteur on women's rights in Turkey for the European Parliament. Today she presented her report on women's rights in Turkey after the final vote. The report aims at giving an objective and balanced description of the situation concerning women's rights in Turkey.
