"Cigarette consumption decreases in Turkey
There has been a decrease in Turkey's cigarette consumption in recent years as a result of the rising cost of cigarettes.
In his report to an Anatolia news agency reporter, Şahin Güneş, president of the Yozgat branch of Turkey's anti-smoking association, said that keeping in mind the rising population of the country, there has been a noticeable decrease in the number of smokers, adding that this is largely due to the increasing prices of cigarettes in terms of US dollars."
