Erduran, who earned the title of a state artist in 1971, says this title did not make her undertake extra responsibilities. 'I don't play the violin well just because I was given the title of state artist,' she says. 'I would practice the same even if they hadn't given me that title. … My philosophy has always been to work harder and harder to achieve more and more. What I do is to perform my art. What is important is to be able to unite with the public'
