"A Snapshot of Turkey as Seen by the Turks
A large majority of Turks do not agree that their country’s secularism is under threat. In a survey conducted by Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation (TESEV) 73% of respondents answered “no” to the question “Is secularism under threat?” The survey titled “Religion, Society and Politics in Changing Turkey” also revealed that the number of those who want ‘shariah’ law fell by eight percent. The people questioned were more concerned about unemployment and terrorism."
