Bulgaria voted in its fourth presidential elections since 1989, the end of the communist regime in the country.

Competition in the presidential elections will be between current president Georgi Pirvanov and nationalist Volen Siderov, whose campaign was about “taking back Bulgaria for Bulgarians.”"
