Turkey is on the right track in its European Union quest but will need patience and determination, said Finnish Parliament Speaker Paavo Lipponen yesterday in Izmir.
Lipponen, Finnish prime minister during the 1999 Helsinki summit that recognized Turkey's candidacy for EU membership, is the head of the High-Level Group on Turkey of the Party of European Socialists (PES)."
