US apologized to Turkish officers for American professor’s having used a man showing Turkey as separated in a NATO college, APA reports quoting Turkish news agencies.

Chief of General Staff of US Armed Forces Peter Peys expressed apology to his Turkish counterpart Yashar Boyukanit in a telephone talk regarding this matter.
On 15 September, during a seminar in NATO Defense College in Rom, US lecturer used a map that showed 18 provinces of Turkey as “Kurdistan”. Turkish officers were very dissatisfied by that. After their complaints, official Washington had to state by Army Commander Peter Peys that the map had nothing to with US."
