A pioneer in the ice production business in Turkey, Çetin Akkaya's latest major endeavor is to sell ice to the U.S. Army in Iraq.
He explains that the U.S. Army in Iraq requested ice from him in June. �There was a serious shortage of ice in Iraq. They asked for 250 tons of ice per week.� He was not able to meet this demand. "
