"Turkey backs Iraq’s reconciliation plan

Foreign Minister Abdullah Gül has called on citizens of neighboring Iraq to support a national reconciliation plan to end the violence escalating in that country.
�We hope that al-Maliki's plan will be successful in restoring security and consensus in Iraq, and we call on all Iraqi citizens to support the plan,� Gül yesterday told a joint press conference with his visiting counterpart, Hoshyar Zebari. "
