Turkey, where only one of four women capable of work is employed, is the country with the lowest woman employment with 24.3 percent among European Union members.

Turkey needs to increase its woman employment 2.5 times in 4.5 years in order to reach its European Union targets.
The research entitled “European Employment Strategy and Labor Market Developments” prepared by the Turkish Employer Unions Association (TİSK), shows that “the women has no name in employment” in Turkey.
According to the research, the country where woman employment is the highest is Denmark, where each 71.6 percent of 100 women are employed.
Sweden follows Denmark with 70.5 percent, Netherlands with 65.8, Finland and England with 65.6 percent, Portugal with 61.7 percent, while Turkey is the country where woman employment rate is the lowest among EU member states with 24.3 percent."
