"Death toll from Turkey's traffic accident rises to 44
Death toll from a Friday traffic accident in southern Turkey rose to 44, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported on Saturday.
A truck carrying 55 illegal immigrants from Afghanistan and Bangladesh crashed into a transport truck on a highway between the southern provinces of Osmaniye and Gaziantep on Friday.
The death toll rose to 44 after two of the six injured died in the hospital and three people are still receiving medical treatment.
Speeding was reportedly the cause of the accident."
