The New Anatolian-Stephanopoulos: Greece and Turkey must resolve differences at The Hague

"Stephanopoulos: Greece and Turkey must resolve differences at The Hague

The Associated Press / Athens

Former Greek President Constantine Stephanopoulos said Sunday that Greece and Turkey should
resolve their differences over contested airspace at the United Nations' World Court to avoid the danger of a 'hot incident.'

Stephanopoulos said in an interview published in Sunday's Kathimerini newspaper that the thaw in recent years in relations between the two NATO allies had failed to resolve their dispute over airspace boundaries over the Aegean Sea.

He said that as long as the problem remains unresolved 'the danger of a hot incident will remain.'"
