Germany’s Christian Democrat Union Party (CDU) scorned the proposal to translate the third verse of the German national anthem into Turkish for Turkish immigrants in the country. Hans-Christain Ströbele, a parliamentary member from the German Union 90/ Greens Party, had made the offer."
