Turkey May Face Problems if It Doesn’t Open Doors to Cyprus Ships: Greek Minister
Athens. Turkey may face serious problems if it does not open its airports and ports to Cyprus ships and planes, Greece’s Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis said cited by AP.
According to her the EU cannot accept the fact that a country, which is striving to become a member of the bloc, is applying “selectively” the principles that are obligatory for all member-states.
On October 4th 2005 the EU started officially the talks with Turkey on its future membership. However, according to experts the talks with Ankara will last 15-20 years.
