"Turkey - E.U. Financial Cooperation
ANKARA - The fourth meeting of the ''Joint Watch Committee'' between Turkey and the European Union (EU) took place today in Ankara.
The committee was established by Turkey and the European Commission to watch and evaluate the implementation of projects and programs within the framework of Turkey-EU financial cooperation.
Turkey was represented at today's meeting by EU Secretary General Oguz Demiralp. ''European Commission representatives expressed that they are about to sign a financial assistance agreement that would provide Turkey with a credit of 277 million Euro,'' he said.
Today's meeting focused on the projects and programs supported by EU funds."
