"Greek government considers bringing Aegean dispute to The Hague

Greece is cautiously debating former Greek President Constantine Stephanopoulos' proposal to take the Aegean dispute with Turkey to The Hague without ruling out such a possibility.

Debates on the issue began following Stephanopoulos suggestion in an article on Sunday that Greece and Turkey should resolve their differences over contested airspace at the United Nations' International Court of Justice to avoid the danger of another 'hot' incident, similar to last Tuesday's deadly dogfight.

Greek Prime Minister Costas Karamanlis on Monday met with Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis, with whom he discussed foreign policy issues, especially Stephanopoulos' suggestion to resolve differences over contested airspace."
