US Rep. Robert Wexler, co-chairman of the Congressional Turkey Caucus in the United States, has criticized Turkish officials for having talks with a Hamas leader. I too had, like many others, stressed the inappropriateness of the meeting in question. However, Wexler -- and some other critics in the United States -- compared Hamas to the PKK. This kind of behavior can only be described as 'carrying it too far.'"
