"Turkish ambassador to Russia speaks on military and energy issues
Turkey's ambassador to Moscow Kurtuluş Taşkent said Tuesday he hoped Russia's state-owned arms exporter could offer Turkey an attractive deal for delivery of military helicopters.
'I hope that Rosoboronexport can offer us high-tech equipment for a suitable price,' Kurtuluş Taşkent told a news conference.
He said Turkey had announced Tuesday an extension to the deadline for applications to take part in a roughly $1-billion tender for supplies of 30 military helicopters, and that the Russian arms exporter was part of it."
