TURKISH Cypriots from Cyprus and the UK plan are set to to demonstrate in Brussels today over what they say is the EU’s failure to lift the economic isolation of othe north of the island.

According to Turkish media reports yesterday, over 150 protesters will take part in the a peaceful demonstration under the banner “Gagged in Brussels”.

The planned three-hour protest was organised to coincide with the second anniversary of the EU Council of Ministers’ decision to end the isolation of the Turkish Cypriots in the wake of their ‘yes’ vote in the April 2004 referendum on the failed Annan reunification plan."
