ANKARA, Turkey (AP) - Turkey's army chief vowed stepped-up offensives against autonomy-seeking Kurdish rebels in comments broadcast Sunday as the military sent thousands of soldiers backed by tanks to its overwhelmingly Kurdish southeast and the Iraqi border.
